HNB’s SOLO Digital Mobile Wallet:
Solo is a digital mobile wallet where any banking customer who possesses a smart phone can download to. The app is available in both iOS and android version. Below are the features of the SOLO Digital Mobile Wallet

• Basic registration with mobile number validation
• Capability to add any VISA / MASTER credit or debit card and/or any CASA account linked with the Just Pay echo system
• Scan QR(static or dynamic) code and pay the merchant
• If a promotion is available with the merchant the customer can select the coupon code and enjoy the discount

HNB’s Mobile App Privacy Policy:
Information technology continues to present new and exciting opportunities. However, many people are concerned about how their personal information will be used. We recognize that our users may have concerns about their privacy and confidentiality whilst online. We are committed to ensuring the privacy and security of our users whilst using our mobile applications.

The following information relates directly to online usage and applies to your use mobile apps of HNB Group (referred to as ‘the Group’). This includes utilizing any of the Group’s facilities via their respective mobile apps.

1. Collection, Retention and Usage of Customer Information through Mobile App Activity:
For regulatory purposes we collect information on customers such as basic profile details including images and information related to payments instruments and payments details. These details are stored in the bank premises in a secure encrypted manner.

For statistical purposes we collect information on mobile app activity (such as the number of users who install the mobile app, the date and time of use, navigation patterns, what country and mobile phones users have used to access the site). This information on its own does not identify an individual but it does provide us with statistics that we can use to analyze and improve our mobile app.

In addition to information you provide us, we collect and retain general, statistical information available from public records, lifestyle and other demographic surveys. We use this information to protect and administer your records, accounts, and funds and to comply with certain laws and regulations. This allows us to better understand what financial services you are interested in so we can provide you with the solutions you require.

We give access to the contact list of a user for the purposes of promotions and notifications with regard to Solo with the specific acceptance of the user.

2. Online Security:
HNB is committed to keeping secure the personal information you provide to us. We take all reasonable precautions to protect the personal information we hold about you from misuse and loss and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.

We have a range of practices and policies in place to provide a robust security environment. We ensure the on-going adequacy of these measures by regularly reviewing them.

• encrypting data sent from your mobile phone to our systems during mobile transactions and customer access codes transmitted across networks;
• employing firewalls, intrusion detection systems and virus scanning tools to protect against unauthorized persons and viruses from entering our systems; and
• Secure mobile transactions supports the use of https protocol and 256 bit encryption technology – an industry standard for encryption to protect data.

3. Cookies
A ‘cookie’ is a packet of information that allows the server (the computer that houses the web application) to identify and interact more effectively with your PC.

When you use our web application, we send you a cookie that gives you a unique identification number. A different identification number is sent each time you use our web application. Cookies do not identify individual users, although they do identify a usage pattern of the web application.

4. Maintenance of Accurate and Up to Date Information:
We at HNB strive to maintain the most up to date information regarding your personal and financial details in accordance with best practices. However, if you feel that the information regarding your account is outdated or requires amendments, please click log in to the app and edit your profile information to update your required details.

5. Limiting Employee Access to Information
Our employees’ access to customer information is authorized for business purposes only and is on a “need to know” basis. We educate our employees on the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy through standard operating procedures and all employees are required to attend special training programs that focus on this. Any violation of this principle will lead to suitable disciplinary action.

6. Links to other web sites
Our mobile app may contain links to non-HNB Group web sites. Whilst such links are provided for your convenience, you should be aware that the information handling practices of the linked web sites might not be the same as ours. HNB is not a provider of the services mentioned therein and will not be responsible for any disputes arising between you and the relevant service provider.

7. Biometric Data
Users can login to solo by enabling device biometrics. This would facilitate device registered fingerprint or facial recognition. HNB would not be storing any biometric information

Amendments to the Policy
We may amend this policy from time to time and will place all such amendments on this website. This policy is not intended to, nor does it, create any contractual rights between the bank and the customer.
